How To Measure Collars, Coats and Harnesses
Measuring properly is Very Important to the comfort of your pet and your satisfaction with your Puppy Dog Plaids purchase. PLEASE read our measuring directions carefully. We take a lot of time designing our products one piece at a time and it is unfortunate if the fit is not correct. Thank you! Hugs and Arrooos, Jacque and the sewing crew J
Puppy Dog Plaids Custom Designed Collars: Please understand these items are designed after you purchase for the best fit possible, and we need you to be very specific about your dog's neck measurement.
For Silver Buckle Styles: we are not looking for a size, we are looking for as true of a measurement as possible. Kind of like you were measuring your own waist…but no sucking in J If you would please measure your pet's neck with a cloth measuring tape OR a piece of string (can be measured) We DON'T want you to add for comfort, we will do that for you. We want just the truest measurement possible with no pulling or allowing additional room.
For Nylon Side release Clip Style: exact measurements are not as necessary, as they will have a slider for adjustment. They will be the exact size you order.
Pre Designed Collars: These collars are already made and ready to go. They have eyelets in the exact measurements stated. Example an 11-14 inch collar will have eyelets at those exact measurements. If your pet's true measurement is 14 you would want to go up to the next size as there would be NO room for adjustment. Feel free to contact me if you feel Puuuurplexed!
Puppy Dog Plaids Custom Designed Coats and Harnesses: It is equally as important to receive as exact as possible measurements for all custom coats and harnesses. We've attached a photo of the three measurements we will need for these items.

Pre Designed Coats and Harnesses: These items are already made and ready to go. They have will fit your pet if you order within the correct measurements you've chosen. We suggest you use our measurement sheet above to determine the correct sizing. If your pet is right on the line between two sizes it is typically best to go up to the next size. | |
